Pool Closing
Closed and Protected Before the First Freeze.
Fall closing is scheduled around the season, not a backlog, so equipment is protected and the cover is set correctly before winter arrives.
Fall Winterization
Equipment drained, water balanced, cover set correctly.
We drain and protect the equipment, balance the water for dormancy, and fit the cover correctly so nothing shifts over the winter.
One visit, timed to the season, not a queue.

What’s Included
Everything it takes to close the pool right.
A single visit covers the full winterization, so nothing is left exposed over the winter.
- Equipment winterization and drainage
- Winterizing water chemistry treatment using reagent-based testing, not test strips
- Cover fit, inspection, and securing of straps and hardware
- Skimmer and return lines blown out and plugged
- Pool surface and waterline cleaned before closing
- Water level lowered or adjusted as needed
- Heater and automation systems shut down and protected
- Any equipment issues flagged and reported before spring
Why It Matters
A rushed closing becomes a spring repair.
Water left unbalanced or equipment not properly drained can mean cracked pipes, a stained shell, or a damaged cover by the time the pool reopens. Closing it properly protects the investment for the whole winter, not just the first cold snap.

Pool Closing
Frequently asked questions.
The questions homeowners most often ask before scheduling a fall closing. If yours is not here, it is a short conversation.
All QuestionsWhen should I schedule a pool closing?
Fall closings are typically scheduled from September through November, ahead of the season’s first hard freeze. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.
What does a pool closing visit include?
Equipment winterization and drainage, winterizing water chemistry treatment with reagent-based testing, skimmer and return lines blown out and plugged, a full surface clean, and the cover fitted, inspected, and secured. Any equipment issues are flagged and reported before spring.
Should I also sign up for Winter Care after closing?
We recommend it. Winter Care provides one monthly visit from December through April to check on the cover, equipment, and water chemistry while the pool is closed.
