Pool Restoration
Restored to Better Than It Was.
Re-plaster, re-tile, new coping, corrected hydraulics. We assess the shell first and tell you honestly whether it deserves restoring or replacing.
The Case for Restoration
Most shells are worth saving. We will tell you honestly which way yours goes.
A gunite pool built correctly can last the length of the property’s ownership. What wears out is the plaster, the tile, the coping, and the equipment, all of which can be brought current without touching the shell underneath.
We assess the structure first: shell integrity, hydraulic performance, and the condition of the surrounding hardscape. If the shell is sound, restoration is typically a fraction of the cost of replacement. If it is not, we tell you that plainly and explain why.
Either way, the crew that does the work has been restoring East End pools since 1988.

Restoration Services
The full scope, or just what the shell needs.
Some pools need everything. Others need one thing done correctly. We scope the work to the pool, not to a package.
-
Re-PlasteringStandard white, colored, quartz, or pebble finish. Surface prep done correctly so the bond lasts, not just looks right at first fill.
-
Tile & Coping ReplacementWaterline tile, field tile, and coping reset or replaced. Selections walked through with you before anything is ordered.
-
Hydraulic CorrectionsReturn lines, main drains, skimmers, and plumbing brought up to current code with flow and pressure issues resolved at the source.
-
Equipment UpgradesVariable-speed pumps, updated filtration, salt systems, and app-based automation retrofitted while the pool is already drained.
-
Structural RepairCracks, hollow spots, and delamination addressed before the surface goes on, so the restoration starts from a solid base.
-
Deck & Surround WorkSurrounding hardscape, drainage, and decking addressed as part of the same project so the pool and its edges are finished together.
Finishes & Materials
New surfaces that read as original to the property.
A restoration is also an opportunity to update the water tone, tile line, and coping to something that suits the property as it exists today. Finish samples are brought to the property before anything is committed. Color reads differently in direct East End sun than it does in a showroom, and we have enough experience with that to give useful guidance before the choice is locked.

Five steps, no surprises.
Every restoration starts with an honest assessment, not a sales pitch. We look at the shell, the hydraulics, and the surrounding deck before any scope is discussed.
Most projects can be completed during the off-season so the pool is ready for opening day.

Shell Assessment
We inspect the shell structure, the hydraulics, and the existing surface before anything else. You get a written summary of what we found and what we recommend.
-

Finish, tile, and coping selections confirmed with you before work begins. Structural or hydraulic repairs are scoped and priced alongside the surface work.
-
Scheduling
Work is scheduled around the property’s calendar, with disruptive phases landed outside peak-use periods where possible.
-
Restoration Work
Drain, prep, structural repairs if required, then plaster, tile, and coping by our own crew. One site contact, written updates, a clean site each evening.
-
Startup & Chemistry
Fill, startup chemistry, and equipment commissioning handled by our crew. Ongoing service by the same team available from the first season forward.
Financing
Spread a restoration across a term.
A full restoration is a meaningful investment. We work with an independent lending partner that specializes in pool and outdoor-living projects, so the option to finance is simply there when it is useful.
- Reviewed privately, with no obligation and no effect on the project scope
- Covers restoration, equipment upgrades, and surrounding hardscape
- Handled directly with the lender — we never see your financial detail
Financing is provided by an independent third-party lender. Terms, approval, and rates are determined solely by the lender.

Pool Restoration
Frequently asked questions.
The questions estate managers and owners most often ask before a restoration. If yours is not here, it is a short conversation.
All QuestionsHow do I know if my pool needs restoration or full replacement?
The shell structure is the deciding factor. If it is sound, with no significant cracking, no movement, and no active leaks through the shell itself, the plaster, tile, coping, and equipment can all be replaced at a fraction of the cost of a new pool.
We assess the shell and hydraulics before discussing scope, and we tell you plainly which direction makes more sense for the property.
How long does a pool restoration take?
A full replaster, tile, and coping restoration typically runs two to four weeks of active work, depending on scope and any structural repairs required. We schedule so the work is complete before the season opens and keep you informed at each stage.
What plaster and finish options are available?
Standard white plaster, colored plaster, quartz aggregate, and pebble finishes in a range of water tones. We bring samples to the property so you can see how each reads in direct East End sun before making a selection.
Can you upgrade the equipment during a restoration?
Yes, and a restoration is the right time to do it. Variable-speed pumps, updated filtration, salt systems, and app-based automation can all be retrofitted while the pool is already drained and the equipment pad is accessible. We scope those upgrades alongside the surface work so there is one project, not two.
Do you restore pools that Shinnecock did not originally build?
Yes. We assess and restore pools regardless of who built them. The shell assessment tells us what we are working with, and we proceed from what we find rather than from assumptions about the original build quality.
Is financing available for a restoration?
Yes. We work with an independent lending partner that specializes in pool and outdoor-living projects. Terms are reviewed privately with no obligation, and financing covers restoration, equipment upgrades, and surrounding hardscape.
